2006年3月9日〜12日、2007年4月29日〜30日の2回、宮城県仙台市の定禅寺通りグリーンベルト（定禅寺通り中心の緑道）にて「ありが道〜新しいありがとうの伝え方、提案します〜」を開催した。
DMは事前に市内の美術館、ギャラリー、カフェ、雑貨店、街頭にて配布した。

“Thank you road〜It proposes a new way to pass on thank you〜” was held in March, 9−12 2006 and Aplil, 29-30 2007.
It held it in a Jozenji road green belt.
DM was distributed on the museum, the gallery, the cafe, General Store, and the street in the city beforehand.

「ありが道〜新しいありがとうの伝え方、提案します〜」

“ありがとう”
誰かに感謝をするときに発する言葉です。
相手から何かを得た時に発する言葉です。

「ありがとう」
の言葉が発せられる直前に、相手から何かを得ている。
「ありがとう」
の言葉より、相手の行為が先行します。
「ありがとう」
の言葉は通常相手の行為の直後、必ず相手がいる状態、相手に伝わる状態で発せられる言葉になります。

今回の企画で
「ありがとう」
の言葉が生まれるのは、相手の行為の直後でも、相手が目の前にいるわけでもありません。
この状態で生まれた
「ありがとう」
は、通常のコミュニケーションで生まれるものとは別質のものとなります。
この別質の
「ありがとう」
を相手に伝わるかどうかわからない状態に、伝わるかもしれない状態にします。

「ありがとう」
を公共の場に公開した状態にします。
「ありがとう」
の数が増えれば増えるほど、ビジュアル的に華やかになる状況をつくります。

不自然な状態で、不自然な
「ありがとう」
を発生させます。
通常のコミュニケーションをずらします。

決して軽々しい言葉ではありません。
「ありがとう」

通常のコミュニケーションをずらし、関係性に意識を向けさせる試みです。
